Chande': My name is Chande' ( pronounced Shan-Day ). I was born in Orange, California but was raised in Naperville, Illinois. During college I worked at Belle Raye, A Paul Mitchell Focus Salon and Spa in Illinois. I started as a receptionist but was soon promoted to Front Desk Coordinator and Assistant for the salon owner. It was here that I fell in love with hair artistry and decided to pursue it as a career. With knowledgeable suggestions from my peers at the salon, I moved back to California to attend Paul Mitchell The School Costa Mesa. This academy is acknowledged as one of the most prestigious and well-known Paul Mitchell schools in the country. The Paul Mitchell school is also known for it's amazing techniques on personalizing cuts and color.
I was involved in an Honors Program at the academy called Phase Two.The Phase Two group is a select number of future professionals ( under 15 ) that are on an accelerated program that mimics more closely the " real time life " of a professional. Specialty classes were an added bonus for us as well. After acquiring my license, I was lucky enough to meet Virginia. I am blessed to be in such a great salon full of genuine people and I couldn't have asked for a more wise or kind-natured employer. It is here in Old Town Tustin, where you can find me learning and working with the marvelous Virginia!
Lyn: I developed a passion for hair at he early age of 12 when my oldest sister became a hairstylist. I was able to pursue my dream in high school by enrolling in a special program that allowed me to attend cosmetology courses after school. I was hooked from the very first day. From haircuts to hair color and everything in between. I love it all! Shortly after earning my diploma, I also became a licensed cosmetologist. I was eager to learn as much as I could and was determined to find an experienced hair stylist to mentor me. I was fortunate to become Virginia's assistant at a well known salon in Orange county California. Working so closely with such an established master stylist was an extremely fast paced learning experience. Because of Virginia's extensive clientele I quickly became adept at the finer points of hair artistry. Virginia proved to be as motivational as she is kind. She encouraged me to attend continuing education courses at Toni & Guy. Toni & Guy is an internationally respected advanced hairdressing academy that is responsible for many of the popular haircutting and hair coloring techniques that are now standards in my industry. I have been a licensed hairstylist and color specialist since 1999. I believe in continuing my education through classes, conventions and conferences in order to maintain an inspired approach to client satisfaction. Most recently I have been certified to offer the BRAZILIAN BLOWOUT. Because my own hair is very textured, I was focused on finding a semi-permanent hair treatment that actually does what it claims and I am excited to say "this is it"! Not only does the treatment improve the health of the hair but your hair will be frizz-free effortlessly manageable, shiny, and YES, you will have volume. You will be able to blow dry your hair smooth and straight in a fraction of the time and still have the option of wearing it wavy or curly. The BRAZILIAN BLOWOUT is formaldehyde free. Since it is a keratin treatment that fills the cuticle of the hair it is safe to apply immediately after the hair is colored or highlighted. The treatment will actually enhance the color and produce a radiant shine. The BRAZILIAN BLOWOUT lasts approximately two to four months. The Acai after care maintenance products are include in the price for first time clients. The BRAZILIAN BLOWOUT is completed in about 2.5 hours and you may wash and blow dry your hair immediately the next day. No down time! Consultations are free! Please call and schedule yours today...
